IBHRI offers undergraduate students the opportunity to work on behavioral health research and develop a better understanding of the scientific process. Each student is assigned to a project that aligns with their interest and works closely with a mentor. The Undergraduate Behavioral Health Fellowship provides each student with a stipend, research ethics training, and hands-on professional experience. Students receiving financial aid must contact their educational institution’s financial aid office to determine if a stipend impacts financial aid eligibility.
Preference is given to students who can commit to the fellowship for an entire semester/quarter to develop academically and professionally. The fellowship is part-time and includes a stipend of $2,000. Fall and spring fellowship hours are flexible, but interns average 10-15 hours/per week, allowing students to gain valuable experience while maintaining their regular class schedule.
