IBHRI is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, non-profit organization headquartered in California. We focus on improving behavioral health, equity, and wellness through research and collaborative partnerships.
Our research aims to shape policy, enhance clinical practice, and inform the education of future behavioral scientists.
At IBHRI, we believe our nation's health is fundamentally shaped by behavioral and social factors. We are dedicated to advancing comprehensive research, fostering public engagement, and implementing innovative solutions to address the root causes of behavioral health disparities across diverse communities.
Mission
IBHRI’s mission is to improve health equity and well-being by engaging in information sharing, multidisciplinary collaboration, and behavioral health and social sciences research.
Vision
We envision a place for researchers, clinical practitioners, public and social services professionals, and community members to work together to solve complex behavioral health and social issues. We are determined to put to rest persisting deficit models that are adversely used to understand social, health, and mental health issues. Our work uses strength-based frameworks that consider individuals within systems and approaches that enhance sustainability, long-term competencies, and resilience.
