Edith Gurrola, MS
Edith Gurrola, M.S., earned her master's degree in psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She also earned a second master’s degree in program evaluation at the Claremont Graduate School. She has over nine years of work experience in the public sector as a program evaluator and researcher within the mental health and early care and education fields. She served on the Board of Directors at Comisión Femenil of the San Fernando Valley and continues to volunteer and serve the community through advocacy, activism, and female empowerment. She recently worked as a senior research analyst in the Research Division of Child Care Resource Center, Inc. She conducted research at California State University, Northridge. Edith is an independent researcher, consultant, and co-founded the Integrative Behavioral Health Research Institute.

Research
Edith Gurrola is dedicated to research in social and community psychology. She applies a strengths-based approach and contextualizes behavior by looking at psychosocial factors. Edith has previously presented her research at statewide and national conferences, including American Psychological Association, Society for Community Research and Action, Society for Research on Child Development, Society for Research on Adolescence, National Head Start Association, and California Head Start Association. She has worked on numerous grant-funded projects that aim to address health disparities and, most recently, has worked on projects that explore how technology can facilitate collaborative care models within healthcare settings.
